President Trump Hints at Imminent Deal with Iran to Avert Military Strike

The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has said that a deal with Iran may be near one that could prevent a military strike on the country’s nuclear facilities.

Speaking in Qatar during his Gulf tour,President Trump expressed optimism, saying recent statements from Iran indicated progress toward a peaceful resolution.

He noted that Iran had sort of agreed to the terms, although he did not elaborate on the specific remarks.

The comments came shortly after Iranian official Ali Shamkhani, an adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, told ABC News that Tehran was willing to accept major restrictions on its nuclear programme in exchange for the lifting of US sanctions.
