At least 12 Thai nationals, most of whom are civilians, have been killed following intense clashes between Thai and Cambodian forces in a disputed border region.
Thailand accused Cambodia of launching rocket attacks on a Thai village and targeting a hospital, while Thai forces responded with air strikes on Cambodian military positions.
In response, Thailand has shut its entire border with Cambodia and urged all its citizens in the country to evacuate. Cambodia, accusing Thailand of using excessive force, has downgraded diplomatic ties with Bangkok.
