Chelle Blames Costly Errors for Super Eagles B Team’s 4-0 Defeat to Sudan

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has attributed Nigeria’s heavy 4-0 loss to Sudan in their 2024 African Nations Championship encounter to repeated mistakes on the pitch.

The defeat, which followed a 1-0 loss to Senegal in their opening game, ended Nigeria’s hopes in the tournament.

Goals from Leonard Ngenge (own goal), Walieldin Khedr, and a brace from Abdel Raouf sealed Sudan’s emphatic win.

Chelle, speaking after the match, said the team surrendered control in the second half and paid dearly for defensive lapses, noting that all four goals came from errors.

He also admitted the same problem plagued their earlier game against Senegal, stressing that the mistakes proved decisive in both matches.
