Adeleke Says DNA Tests Clear Davido in Paternity Claim

Billionaire businessman Adedeji Adeleke has said DNA test results show that 12-year-old Anuoluwapo is not the daughter of his son, afrobeats star Davido, describing the prolonged paternity controversy as unnecessary.

Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, Adeleke said five separate DNA tests had been conducted, all of which ruled out Davido as the child’s father.

He maintained that while Davido cannot take responsibility for a child that is not his, Anu deserves to know her true biological father, adding that his son has never denied responsibility for any of his children.

Adeleke, however, disclosed that despite the DNA results, he personally supported Anu for years by paying her school fees and upkeep through her aunt, without Davido’s knowledge.

He said the payments were always acknowledged with receipts and proof of expenses, noting that he stopped handling the fees last year.

The paternity dispute resurfaced in January after Anu appealed for a fresh DNA test, citing bullying and emotional distress, a claim Davido rejected, insisting multiple tests had returned negative results.

While Davido’s camp says the tests were done for transparency, Anu’s mother, Ayotomide Labinjoh, has disputed the claim of multiple tests and called for a fresh, independently supervised DNA test to resolve the matter.
