Leicester City have completed the loan signing of Nigerian midfielder Joe Aribo from Southampton until the end of the season to strengthen their injury-hit midfield.
The 29-year-old arrives at the King Power Stadium with Jordan James and Aaron Ramsey sidelined until March, while Hamza Choudhury is awaiting assessment on a knee injury.
His move also follows the departure of Boubakary Soumare, who recently left the club for Qatar.
Aribo, who has struggled for game time at Southampton this season, is expected to compete for a central midfield role and could feature across several positions.
The London-born midfielder enjoyed his best spell at Rangers, where he won the Scottish Premiership and helped the club reach the Europa League final, scoring in the final defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt in 2022.
He joined Southampton in 2022 and featured prominently last season, but a change in coaching staff and relegation have reduced his involvement, opening the door for the loan switch to Leicester.
