Chief of Army Staff Reaffirms Commitment to Education at Military School Passing Out Parade

The Chief of Army Staff, (COAS) Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, revealed that the Nigerian Army is committed to building a well-educated, professionally competent, and future-ready force through strategic investment in education.

Speaking at the 67th Passing Out Parade of the Nigerian Military School in Zaria, Kaduna State, the Chief of Army Staff, who was represented by the General Officer Commanding 1 Division, Major General Mayirenso Saraso  said soldiers are being sponsored to study in reputable civilian universities and colleges across the country, with ex- Nigerian Military School students among the top beneficiaries.

He urged the graduating cadets to prepare for the opportunities and challenges ahead. Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede encouraged those interested in a military career to apply to the Nigerian Defence Academy, noting they have an advantage due to their training at the school.

The Army Chief also urged them to make use of the welfare schemes and career development initiatives available to personnel.
