The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total of ₦1.969 trillion, representing the December 2025 Federation Account Revenue, among the Federal Government, state governments, and local government councils.
The allocation was approved at the January 2026 FAAC meeting in Abuja, according to a statement from the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation.
The distributable revenue comprised ₦1.084 trillion in statutory revenue, ₦846.507 billion from Value Added Tax, and ₦38.110 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy, after deductions for cost of collection, transfers, refunds, and savings.
From the total amount shared, the Federal Government received ₦653.500 billion, states got ₦706.469 billion, while local government councils received ₦513.272 billion, with ₦96.083 billion paid to oil-producing states as derivation revenue.
FAAC also reported that VAT and Companies Income Tax recorded significant increases in December, while Petroleum Profit Tax, Excise Duty, and the Electronic Money Transfer Levy declined.
The December allocation was slightly higher than the ₦1.928 trillion shared in November 2025.
