The Federal Civil Service Commission has ordered 3,598 civil servants who missed the 2021 verification exercise to appear for a mandatory re-verification between August 18 and August 28, 2025.
The Commission revealed that the exercise will take place across various ministries and government agencies, including Agriculture, Defence, Education, Justice, Works, Information, Science and Technology, Aviation, Finance, Interior, and the State House.
A directive dated August 4 instructs affected officers to check their names on the commission’s and the Office of the Head of Civil Service websites, as well as notice boards in their ministries.
Officers must present originals and photocopies of appointment and promotion letters, confirmation gazettes, staff change letters, and their July 2025 Integrated Payroll and Personnel information system (IPPIS) payslip.
The commission warned that failure to appear for re-verification will be taken as evidence of holding fake appointment letters, with no extension granted for absentees.
