The Federal Government has released the results of the 2025 National Common Entrance Examination into Junior Secondary School 1 in Federal Unity Colleges, along with the results of the separate entrance exam into the Federal Government Academy, Suleja.
Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad, who announced the release in Abuja, described it as a milestone for basic education in Nigeria.
She revealed that 61,290 out of 64,578 registered candidates sat for the Common Entrance, with 13 scoring the highest mark of 202 out of 210, while 27 candidates scored the lowest mark of 1.
She also disclosed that 52 candidates were caught in examination malpractice—two from Lagos and 50 from Rivers State.
For the FGA Suleja exam, Prof. Ahmad stated that 3,141 out of 3,421 candidates participated, with the highest score recorded at 194.
She reiterated that the admission process would maintain the standard criteria of 60 percent merit, 30 percent equality of states, and 10 percent exigency, and directed the relevant department to ensure timely admissions.
The minister also assured parents that the government remains committed to improving infrastructure, feeding, and teacher quality in Unity Colleges.
The NECO Registrar, Prof. Ibrahim Wushishi, formally presented the results to the ministry during the event.
