Iran’s Khamenei Threatens To Strike United States Bases If Attacked

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has threatened to carry out more strikes on United States bases in the region if Iran experiences another attack by the United States.

In a press statement and a televised speech, Khamenei hailed his country’s victory over Israel and vowed never to surrender to the United States, claiming that Washington had been dealt a slap after striking Iranian nuclear sites.

Khamenei’s remarks come two days after a ceasefire ended a 12-day war between Iran and Israel, the foes’ deadliest and most destructive confrontation in history.

He affirmed that American strikes did nothing significant to Iran’s nuclear facilities. However, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reported that damage to Iran’s nuclear sites from the 12-day war with Israel is grievous, as the country begins assessing the conflict’s impact.

It would be recalled that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last Tuesday hailed the ceasefire as a historic victory for Israel.
