Israel Downs Missile Fired from Yemen

The Israeli military says its air force intercepted a missile launched from Yemen today, with Iran-backed Huthi rebels later confirming they fired a Palestine 2 hypersonic ballistic missile towards Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport.

The Huthis have targeted Israel with missiles and drones since Hamas’s October 2023 attack triggered the Gaza war, briefly pausing during a two-month ceasefire earlier this year before resuming strikes.

Israel has retaliated with multiple attacks on Huthi-controlled ports and Sanaa airport in Yemen.
