The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed multiple establishments in Ifako Ijaiye and Igando in Lagos, citing repeated environmental infractions including noise disturbances and air pollution. The agency disclosed this in a post on X (formerly Twitter) today, following an enforcement operation carried out yesterday.
Among those shut down were Cherubim & Seraphim (King of Kings) Church, a fufu-making shop, and a manufacturing company, during an enforcement drive conducted
LASEPA General Manager Dr. Babatunde Ajayi stated that the action aimed to protect public health and restore environmental sanity. He emphasised that while freedom of worship is guaranteed, no group is permitted to infringe on neighbours’ rights or pose health risks via noise or air pollution.
