The Nigeria Immigration Service has warned the public against fraudulent recruitment websites falsely claiming to be conducting hiring exercises for the service.

In a statement posted on its official X handle on Tuesday, the NIS clarified that the only legitimate recruitment currently ongoing is the one handled by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board, through its official recruitment portal.

The service advised applicants and members of the public to rely solely on the CDCFIB platform for accurate and up-to-date information, stressing that any other websites, links or advertisements are unauthorised and should be ignored.

It cautioned that fraudsters may use fake portals to collect personal data or demand money under the guise of recruitment, and urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and report any suspicious recruitment adverts or websites to the appropriate authorities.
