The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has unveiled five nationwide campaigns focusing on government policies, national values, security awareness, disaster preparedness, and the Nigerian identity.
Director-General of the agency Lanre Issa-Onilu said the “intensive” two-week exercise, starting 20th August 2025, will engage all 4,000 NOA staff across 818 offices in the 774 local governments, with activities including press conferences in all states, grassroots outreach in markets, schools, and religious centres, as well as daily radio, TV, and social media messages.
Issa-Onilu described the initiative as a coordinated national awakening to strengthen identity, values, safety, and development, noting that Nigeria stands at a defining moment.
He stressed that informed citizens make democracy stronger, vigilant communities improve security, and proper disaster preparation safeguards lives.
He urged Nigerians to participate actively, seek credible information, and support the campaign, while calling on media, community leaders, civil society, and students to help spread the message nationwide.
