Nwabali Confident Super Eagles Can Upset South Africa

Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has expressed confidence that the Super Eagles can defeat South Africa when both sides meet in Bloemfontein today in a crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier.

He said the squad is strong enough to match any opponent and, while acknowledging South Africa’s impressive run at the top of Group C, maintained that Nigeria would rise to the occasion.

Nwabali added that every game requires a unique approach and stressed that the team would come out strong.

The Super Eagles trail group leaders South Africa by six points after seven games, with only two wins, one loss, and four draws so far.

They sit third on the log with 10 points, behind Benin Republic with 11.
