The National Youth Service Corps has announced the release of deployment details and call-up letters for prospective corps members in the 2026 Batch A Stream 1 orientation exercise.
The scheme said some corps members posted to Lagos State and the Federal Capital Territory would undergo their orientation programmes in neighbouring states due to limited camp capacity, explaining that only about 40 per cent of registered prospective corps members could be accommodated at designated camps.
It added that those deployed to Lagos would be oriented in camps across Ekiti, Kwara, Ondo, Ogun and Osun states, while some posted to the FCT would attend camps in Kaduna, Niger and Nasarawa states.
The NYSC advised prospective corps members to avoid travelling at night and to complete all required documentation before reporting to camp, warning that those with discrepancies in their graduation dates would not be registered until such issues were resolved through their institutions.
The scheme also issued guidelines for married female prospective corps members, directing those not posted to their husbands’ states of domicile to report to the nearest orientation camp and outlining the documents required for concessional posting on marital grounds.
