Oil marketers has raised alarm over the slow repair work at the Old Port Harcourt Refinery.
The Zonal Chairman of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria, Sunny Nkpe, visited the facility and expressed concern that the Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)Limited, Engr. Bashir Ojulari, has not visited the site since taking office four months ago.
Nkpe informed newsmen in Port Harcourt that the association will consult with other key players, including tanker drivers and marketers’ unions, to decide the next course of action.
He urged President Bola Tinubu to step in, warning that continued delays appear to be influenced by vested interests trying to sabotage the president’s vision for the refinery.
