President Bola Tinubu has nominated Dr Bernard Doro from Plateau State as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and forwarded his name to the Senate for confirmation.
The appointment follows the exit of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, who became the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in July.
Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, announced the nomination in a statement today. Born on January 23, 1969, in Kwall, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, Doro holds degrees in Pharmacy and Law, an MBA in IT-driven business strategy, and a Master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice.
He has over two decades of experience in clinical practice, pharmaceutical management, and leadership roles in the UK and Nigeria. If confirmed, Doro will be sworn in at a forthcoming Federal Executive Council meeting.
