Wellsradio 89.3FM Stages Dramatic Comeback to Beat Coaches’ Team in Novelty Match
In a thrilling encounter at the Liberty Stadium’s main bowl, Wellsradio89.3 FM Football Team staged an incredible comeback to salvage a 2-2 draw against Team LakeSite.
The match, held today, 30th August 2025, was part of the celebrations marking the growth of grassroots football in Oyo State.
Trailing 0-2 at halftime, the Wellsradio89.3FM team, led by Sports Desk Head, Sam Adelere, showed remarkable resilience and determination to turn the game around. Their efforts paid off as they fought back to level the score, culminating in a nail-biting 2-2 draw.
While speaking, the organizer of the novelty match Mr. Timilehin Omotosho expressed his gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and supporters and the Ibadan Southwest Coaches Association.
He appreciated the Chief Executive Officer of Wellsradio 89.3FM Ibadan, Evang. Mrs. Lillian Bademosi, for her support of the match and the Emmanuel League Cup, a tournament promoting grassroots football while condemning the use of hard drugs among youths.
